Good Morning Skiers & Boarders,
A strong spring storm is inhabiting Hokkaido. The heaviest area seems to be about 2 hours south of Furano. Still, we got 6 cm of standard spring stuff, and all contributions are gratefully accepted.
The Gondola is closed due to wind today with a reported speed on top of 72 km/h. Dat der is pretty darn windy.
Lifts G, H, & E were delayed in opening today due to snow removal (??). I'd love to know what that was about. My guess is the high wind moved the falling snow around, so there should be some fun drifts out there.
Enjoy.
Think snow.
** Furano Zone Lift B (aka Furano Quad) is closed for the season due to mechanical failure. New braking mechanism must be fabricated.**
Furano Zone: All open except Lift B. A3 run is closed.
Kitanomine: Gondola closed due to wind. Other lifts open. Premium Zone is closed.
Regular lifts closing at 4:00 PM
Night skiing until 6:00 PM tonight on both sides.
