It is extremely cold in Furano today but at the same time very beautiful with clear skies. The cold has brought with it diamond dust which is currently sparkling in the morning sun. Despite no snow for the last few days the official base depth as provided by the resort has increased by 10cm since yesterday. Snow conditions today will be firm packed powder with a dusting of snow likely at higher elevations. The forecast is for light snow from tonight through to Sunday - fingers crossed that it arrives.
