Snowfall at base this season 628cm

Posted on Thursday 13th April 2017 This is an archived report. The latest Furano Now report can be found here.

We have awoke this morning to a heavy snowfall blanketing all roads, gardens, roofs and anything else exposed. It is currently snowing heavily and 5cm has accumulated on the ground and roads are frozen and slippery. The snowfall will continue throughout the day. Temperatures will be warm and well above freezing tomorrow and this will bring rain, even at the top of the resort. Visibility is limited due to the heavy snow, but when this eases up visibility will improve significantly.
