misschen 0
Really need help - can you recommend a resort that is very easy to get to by train (from Tokyo) and has ski-in ski-out hotels? I went to Naeba (prince hotel) last year. Want something similar. tks!

misschen 0
tks. any second opinion - is gala a very small resort? I 'd like to spend whole 3 days skiing and not get bored
IM 0
Gala is connected to Yuzawa Kogen and Ishiuchi. Gala alone only takes a day to hit every run, but if you get board, you might consider getting to those places. It is not extreamely easy to get to, but Arai has a suttle bus from Nagano station. Another place you might want to look into.
Chamonix 0
Appi in Iwate. A bit far from Tokyo but you will have fun for three full days. And the snow is amazing !!!
oo 1
You can try some of the other resorts in Yuzawa too - Kagura (10 minute ride to Mitsumata ropeway from the station), Iwappara, Kandatsu Kogen. GALA/Ishiuchi is probably the best bet though, and the most convenient. Go on a weekday to avoid the famous crowds.
