lin 0
So many boarding terms I don't understand at all? Help me!
Blazer 0
It is what you get when you cross attempted "phat air" with a "lip plant" landing. Fair play to the girl though, she pulled it off next time.
lin 0
Thanks Blazer. Erm, but what's "phat air" and "lip plant"? (Sorry, complete beginner!)
Ocean11 0
'phat' means 'big', 'good', so 'phat air' means flying high into the air, to the acclaim of one's peers. A '## plant' means when you thrust part of your anatomy into the ground. Thus a full face helmet offers good protection against both head and face plants. A fat lip is the swelling that occurs when one mashes one's lip against a hard, icy surface. Fat lips are also often evidence of a good 'scrap'. peaker 0
Actually the term fat lip can also be applied to other sports. I hear they get quite a few in boxing due to the high amount of scrapping involved [This message has been edited by peaker (edited 13 February 2002).]
