Senote 0
...and who with?...Im a Canadian living in Tokyo and Im wondering where the best hills are (that are relatively close to Tokyo, ie. within 2 hours train)...Ive been snowboarding for four or five years, and Im looking for places with quality jumps (not HUGE park jumps, just jumps in the trees on the side of runs etc)...ALSO, if anyone is down, would you like to go to any of these hills with me?... Ocean11 0
quality jumps in the trees not seen. That would be something fun and dangerous and here is Japan -safety country.
prayingmantis 0
Kawaba for toys, it's in Gunma. My friends in Saitama love the place.
scouser 4
Kawaba? Hmmm, not heard much about that place.
Will Lee 0
Kawaba isn`t such a good place, IMHO. The place tends to attract big crowds. Their snow is usually mediocre and the runs aren`t well laid out(most of them too narrow anyway). Their lift tix are a bit costly too. But I can see how your Saitama friends would like that place for its short commuting distance. The only nice things about that place are the "ski center"(looks like a shopping mall) and locker rooms on every floor of its parking structure.
