viv&kev 0
I don't want this to come over the wrong way, but I can't imagine why anyone would want to spend a night like that. Is it fun or just a matter of booked up hotels and/or cash flow? viv
tuatara 0
Its no fun more a matter of cash flow and also basic economics opportunity cost etc, sleeping is sleeping doesnt really matter to me where, the more money i save the more i can board the more boarding the more fun, sleep is sleep. uncomfortable but happily yours tuatara

Davo 1
I have heard about that at Goryu I think and someone also told me about a cheap place around Echoland like the sort of thing your describing. There is also a cheap place in Tsugaike apparantly. This is all second hand info lacking all the specifics you need-hope someone can be more helpful. Give Goryu and Hakuba tourist info a call perhaps.

Wizz 11
I think I'll always spare the money to sleep in a decent place.....
Ocean11 0
Sleeping on the floor for cheap would be fine if you can get a guarantee that nobody will fart, snore, or smoke.
lin 0
I like to stay in style when I go on holiday - its all part of the experience. I'm not going all the way to Japan to sleep on the floor...
enderzero 0
Have you checked out snowbeds? www.snowbedsjapan.com It's in Hakuba and rather cheap. Word is it gets full fast though. I'm sure someone on this forum has stayed there before, but not me.
Will Lee 0
If you happen to go to Goryu just do what a cheap bastard like myself do...head straight for the "changing room" in back of the locker room and sleep on the floor there. No one will bother you(from my experience).

RamenTaro 0
I'm like you lin, staying in a nice place is always part of the experience - as long as we're near a good ramen shop.
barok 0
I say camp, I go way too much to afford a hotel, but with the right gear camping is easy and fun. And you can pick yer own spot and not have to deal with the other dirtbags.
bobby12 0
Kashimayari have 200 beds at 2000yen a night, or 2500 on holidays and weekends. Its kinda like a big dorm/capsule thing where theres a long wall of bunkneds and the beds can be curtained off - it looks good in the photos.
