The answers you want and a lot more are already there. Lift tickets are usually around y5000 per day. Best area: These seems to be popular.. Hakuba valley resorts Shiga Kogen Joetsu region resorts Nozawa Onsen Hokkaido resorts. Plus there are HEAPS of other areas that are no doubt great, but as a new person to Japan (as I am, and so too I assume are you) it is a little overwhelming to suss them all out and plus some are simply easier to get to than others by public transport.
