Bushiman 6 Posted July 4, 2013 Share Posted July 4, 2013 Hello! Looking to upgrade my old ContourHD POV camera to a ROAM2 for this coming season, as I'd like to keep filming stuff at 720p 60fps... While surfing through the interwebs for reviews/info etc. I found some reports that the ROAM1 will install the ROAM2 Firmware (with a a tweek or 2), thus allowing it to record 60fps instead of just 30fps... Anyone done this? I'd rather buy the ROAM1 as it's way cheaper! Link to post Share on other sites

Bushiman 6 Posted July 10, 2013 Author Share Posted July 10, 2013 **UPDATE** Bought a ROAM1 for cheap on Amazon. Immediately updated the ROAM1 Firmware to allow for USB3.0 detection. Then installed the ROAM2 Firmware -works awesome! Picture is crisp, clear, vivid, and shot at 60fps! You also get way more camera settings to tweek on Storyteller regarding Picture/Sound/Lighting etc. Highly recommend! Link to post Share on other sites
