I know that there is no "holiday working visa" that you can get. But does anyone know any other possibilities for Americans? I just would like to work for one season. Is there "under the table" work?

Cheers for the help. All ready searched the forum and couldn't find an answer.

Have a look at the "Jobs Available" section here on SJ to get a start, but in most cases you'll probably find you need some qualifications (ski instructor, wilderness first aid, etc) to get a proper sponsored working visa.

There is some under the table work, but you'll have to get here first to start looking. If you're coming in on a tourist visa, you'll only be allowed 90 days so be sure to time it right - too soon and you won't be able to finish out the season, too late and all the jobs will be gone.

Ok will check it out. Are there any Americans in this forum that have done a season in Japan and worked (preferably legally)? Really set on heading there and having an epic season, but due to 2 years of traveling, i'll need to work for proper funds.....any hostels hiring!?
