Ive booked to go to Nozawo Onsen from 1st Jan - 7th Jan 09, my question Is Shiga Kogen the same resort or different, Like Perisher and Thredbo? we have another week to spend skiing, should we go do a day trip to see the monkeys when staying at Nozawo or stay at Shiga Kogen for the other week or go to another resort? They are about 1 hour drive (maybe a bit more in winter) from each other and the snow monkey park is located at the base of the Shiga Kogen region between the two (but closer to Shiga Kogen maybe 20 minutes from Shiga Kogen). Shiga Kogen <> Route 292 <> Nakano-shi <> Route 117 <> Through Iiyama <> Nozawa Onsen or a cut through Kita Shiga area.... Shiga Kogen <> Route 292 <> Route 403 <> Through Kita Shiga area <> Route 38 <> Nozawa Onsen (Just for info, there will be some improvements coming on our site in terms of this kind of information and maps before next season gets underway) Best of luck.
