me jane 0
If I want to take the Shink from Shin Yokohama to Shinagawa the basic charge is 400yen. Then I have to add either 2190 for a reserved seat or 840yen for an unreserved seat. I'm guessing the answer is no but if you stand do you still need to pay the 840yen? tsondaboy 0
Yes, once you are in the shink either sitting or standing on the corridor you need to pay. The conductor will come and ask you to check your ticket and you will need to have the tokyu ken. Still, chances are that no conductor will pass for such a sort distance, so you might be able to get away with paying only the basic fare. Sometimes the conductor never comes, I remember at least once that made it from Matsumoto to Shinjuku, without paying for the Super Azusa tokyu ken.
