spaceman3 0
Hi. I was hoping you guys could point me in the right direction as you're all quite familiar with Japan skiing. I'd like to ski outside of Tokyo for 2-3 days and am not quite sure where to park myself. Ideally, I'd like to find the best skiing (not snowboarding) that's fairly easy to get to (within a few hours by train.) I'd also like to sleep within easy access to the slopes, and be able to be in some sort of town where I can be near some restaurants. I'll get a hotel as I'm traveling with a buddy. We're also better than average skiers and like good long runs. From what I can tell, Hakuba seems pretty good. Looks to be a decent mountain, but I'm hoping it's not crazy crowded. I wanted to go to Hokkaido for a few days, but the cost of getting there from Tokyo just seems to much. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. cheers, lee
