benjaminteoh 0
I am going to Niseko fo 2 weeks in Dec. I am thinking about geting a new pair of skis (mine is about 7 years old). Is it worth buying in Niseko or Sydney? I have ever tried off piste - perhaps I should rent and check the powder skis? Appreciate any advice
soubriquet 0
I can't give any specific advice, but Hokkaido is a bit more competetive than Sydney for snow gear. Also, it's a public holiday weekend, so don't expect anything meaningful until Tuesday

thursday 1
If you want to save yourself lugging skis o0ne way (Aus to Jpn), don't take your old skis. Rent in Niseko. Plenty of rental places for wider all mountain skis. Then if you take a fancy to wider skis, you can buy there. Or take a day trip to Sapporo and eat and shop for your skis.
