ianbc 0 Posted July 17, 2006 Share Posted July 17, 2006 was wonderng if anyone had any ideas for a over night or day hikes in Japan, in the areas of Niigata or Hakuba and or in between or just around. prefer to get in the alpine and some beauty pictures if you have any. For landscape photos, midsummer is the worst season. It gets too hazy. Conversely its good for the alpine flowers that the locals are well into, since bright sun would wash out the colours. Overcast conditions are best for them. If you can't pick your window, buy rain gear. Unlined gore with vents is best. Areas further south see much less rain than Hakuba, even Omachi which is only 20km away. Link to post Share on other sites
