I'm really keen on some Japanese style pickles, especially those daikon radish ones (yellow or purple to give them their non technical names!)

 

Problem is - they REALLY stink out the fridge. I hate the way the fridge smells when I have them in there, but I want to eat them.

 

Top tips?

I think I remember them. Very smelly. I had 2 types one that was really really strong and like bright yellow and another that was much nicer (to me anyway) it was a light yellow/cream colour. I liked that. The strong one was a bit too much for me though.
