I'm really interested in whales and sharks. Just read something interesting about them and their 'cultural learning' skills.

 

Killer whales have been setting traps and sharing their skills with others. A 4 year old orca in Canada was watched spitting fish onto the waters surface as bait for gulls. If then waited beneath the waves until a bird landed, and lunged up, swallowing the bird. The orcas mother (Ethel) and younger brother (Bob) then copied in a rare example of 'cultural learning' among animals.

 

I still think crows are pretty goddam clever.

damn! reminds me of the orcas flipping that poor seal around for fun. I agree about the crows. My mate used to try and run them over because he claimed you never saw a dead crow on the road, and that it was near impossible to get near one.
