bobby12 0
Im halfway thru reading this, has anyone else read it? wondering what you think. I'm enjoying it and its good Japanese practice, although I find some of the stuff To-ni gets up to a little bit far fetched and stereotypical. (By the way, this is a manga by and about a Japanese girl married to a foriegner, apparantly its quite popular in japan and the husband is writing a translation into english at the moment.) boardbaka 3
sounds interesting Bob san-Is that the one named "my darling is a foreigner " or something as a literal translation? If so I think it has beenvery well promoted in a lot of the book stores

number9 0
Yeah, funny and lighthearted manga. Tony has a fair bit of input beginning in the second book, so it could do a decent job of dispelling some foreigner myths through gentle nudging and prodding. Though it also builds on some stereotypes, I guess they aren't stereotypes for nothing sometimes.
