CrazyFrog, 'Domo' is just a prefix, it doesn't mean anything special at all though nowadays even Japanese say just 'Domo' for 'Thank you'.
It sounds like you say just 'Very' for 'Thank you very much' which doesn't make sense.

Domo arigato = Thank you very much
Domo ohisashiburi = Long time no see
Domo gobusata shite imasu = Haven't visited you for long

Hum.. well, more like when the host leaves the visitor alone after serving some cup of coffee ( for example ), the host would say 'Goyukkuri dozo'. You can say 'Raku ni shite (kudasai)' either if you leave the guests alone or stay with them.
