rach 1
OK when I was back in the UK over summer I saw some ads for something called onspeed which claimed to speed up a dialup connection by 5 times via a software download. Does anyone know about this or used it? If it works, I'd like to get my parents using it as dialup is just so painful.
miteyak 0
What's dialup??? Yes, the folks computer link, probs all the way. Every time I send a picture to them (OK, two or three) their mail jams up and they have to get their local computer geek to clear their mail. It's a catch twenty two... because they don't have DSL, they don't get many benefits from the internet, and so they don't see the point of spending a few dollars more on the internet, because, well, what's the benefits??? I was going to pay a years sub. for mine, but then I left Japan and became very poor...

echineko 1
I think in Japan broadband is not much more expensive than old connection. Is it different in UK rach?
