I have a friend who lives on the west coast of Wales (Aberystwyth or something) and she's invited me to visit this summer. I was planning on being in England for a while but know little about Wales. Water sports, rock climbing, hiking? Sheep? Drinking? Let me know and I'll try to point you in the right direction. Mr Matthews is Welsh too but I haven't seen him post in a while.
