Hi there Great to find this place and join in. I have never been to Japan yet but hoping to this winter. I have friends going to Niseko and other places in Hokkaido but I know someone who lives in Morioka and I am thinking of going with a few other adventurous friends to that area and maybe try Shizukuishi and Appi Kogen. The only thing really holding me back I suppose is that the places are a bit more spread out and it will need more planning. Anyone on here from around that region?

I was 15 minutes away from my entering my office - in the World Trade Center. It was my 2nd week of one year working in an office over there. I am very glad that I was starting a little later than usual that day. I personally know about 20 people who died that day.

I have only been skiing once until now in Canada. Hoping for Japan in winter!
