  1. are most lodges ski in/ski out? i used to ski a lot in austrlia. short runs but accomm top of mountain. so convenient. i don't get the same feel for in japan...?

  3. fukdane, if you can bear with me...rent vs buy depends on how often you go of course...how much would you think it costs to get kitted up...i hear kanda in tokyo has a large area of ski related shops...possibly soem decent prices there...?

  6. exactly, head up friday night back sunday. seems hakuba is pretty icey at the moment with all this wind.
  7. Gala, Yuzawa, Naeba, Kagura. Probably even Myoko... Are these resorts where you can ski all day and then hit it Saturday night at the bars? Also, can you recommend a shop/area in Tokyo to buy all clothes and equipment? Or on this site? Thanks.
  8. 1st time skiing in Japan and with so much choice was keen to get some suggestions on where to go. Looking to go somewhere for a weekend, head up Friday night returning Sunday. Was thinking Hakuba... Any thoughts.....?
