bill bailey and ricky gervais are the best British stand up comedians at the mo (i recon).
For stupid humour Al Murray is pretty good:
Quote:
Al Murray: "any aussys here today?"
Noise from crowd suggesting yes there indeed are some Aussys.
Al Murray: "returning to the scene of the crime eh?"
"so are you from queens-land"
Aussy: "na im from Perth"
Al Murray: "Its all the queens land - whats your national anthem again? Sing it!!"
"she has two birthdays cos she is better than you mate"
Stupid but quite funny

Hey people.
My japan trip this year involves 10days in Hirafu then a week in tokyo - well we are going back to tokyo after a week. My question for all is what can you recommend me doing in that week - and what is the best way to go about it.
The plan is to spend the weekend (friday and sat night at least) in the big city partying and searching about - the sunday we shall go to harujuku to check out mentalist japanese dudes then maybe do a bit of touring - perhaps nagano/ anywhere. Im sure we will be keen to grab a few extra days riding if possible.
I was thinking about getting a weeks JR pass and just nippin' about the country. any suggestions?
Cheers in advance

there was that thing they taught us at school:

Hmmm, I.A.L was alright. Couple moments with good suspense but all in all it was a very flawed film and basically weve seen it all before. Its just a bad 28 days later really.
Al's flaws in film (may contain slight spoilers):
Willy Smith is on an island that is cut off - where did the heards of deer come from?
Why cant he shoot a deer with a massive sniper rifle after years of practice?
How did random lady that shows up get to the island?
how does she just drive off the island at the end?
When random zombie leader man (oh there is an intelligent zombie but the film does not examaine this fact AT ALL??) trys to trick willy smith how does he know the maniquine is his mate?
When zombie leader sends his dogs to get smith - him and his mates just stand back and watch? not gonna happen, they are crazed zombie b@stards!! they would have all been running at him like every other point in the film.
SHES NEVER HEARD OF BOB MARLEY?!?!
Etc etc, if you ignore all the glaring mistakes this film is quite enjoyable. It just frustrated me and the more i think about it , the more it annoys me. -
"no country for old men" - excellent film with a real bad baddy
not sure about the ending but coen bro's have done well with this as always

It is not unique to tightboards (who we have never used). We didnt have to photograph our CC though - we had to verify the small mystery amount dogfunk charged to our account with the bank, and then they knew we were not using a stolen CC. Frustrating, but I suppose it provides protection. They said we were randomly selected - so don't be surprised if you are asked to verify by them in future transactions. Didn't alter the good service though.
Verification is fair enough, i dont want anyone de-frauding me, but sending pictures of the front and back of my debit card by email to a bunch of people i frankly dont trust - its not going to happen, there are other ways. -

WOW! Now that is alot of unhappy people! Im not going to send them a link to this page until i get my stuff. I dont want a ripped ninja mask or some goggles with someone elses spit in them. Its nice to know im not alone. -
Hey snow peeps,
Just giving everyone a heads up about some horrific customer service i have received dealing with the website tightboards.com
If, like me, you live in a place with ridiculously overpriced gear it can be financially benifical to purchase snowboard gear from overseas.
Initially after placing my order with tightboards i received an email telling me that i needed to send photos of my credit card because my order was over $250 - which is not a usual policy - my order from dog funk was over treble this and no such confirmation was needed. I replied to this inquiring about it and heard nothing back.
Next thing i knew the money had been taken out of my account. I waited a week and there was still no confirmation of dispatch. So i emailed again and tried to call numerous times to no avail.
More time passed, still no response, i eventually made it through on the phone (not cheap calling from scotlandia) and i was informed that my order HAD infact been dispatched so i thought all was good.
That was 2 weeks ago, and today i got an email appologising that one of the items i ordered was not in stock...strange seeing as it had already been dispatched. So i called up the shop - got through first time which was nice but was then told my order had not been dispatched as the goggles i ordered had to be out sourced and should arrive on monday. To make things even more frustrating - the guy on the phone told me they DID infact have the other item which i had received the email about (a holmes airhole ninja mask). So an email about an item not being instock, that they did have in stock and none about the item they didnt.
If anyone has read this far, my advice would be just dont bother with this site. Very unhelpful. Ill be using others in the future.
End rant...

i love the new retaining walls stuff - really original
