Nice death traps if there's a fire those small lofts.
So is the outback, yet people still live there.
If you are going to use a loft for a living space, then they need a permanent staircase, and not a ladder.
-
Always go for land first, then decide on the house. Think of the land as the investment, something that will go up, or down, in value then base the house on that.
-
The land space is about 100m2 or so and our house is about 150m2 in total living space, which is two floors and a loft space, and it took about 6/7months from initial building until we moved in, Aug '11. I'll have to double check on those measurements when I get home tonight though, and may update this post to show that.
We were able to change things right until they started putting the pipes in. We're still very happy with it, I just wish we had MORE power sockets.
-
We went through that process of changing until we got the plan as we liked it.
Up until you sign the contract it is free to chop and change only after you sign do you need to pay more if you want to make changes to the structural layout.
Things like wall colours kitchens etc you can choose after and change if you dont like the available options and may be cheaper or more expensive depending on what you select.
Next week we go and confirm the boundaries of the land as well as hight togther with the house builder and the ward office.
This weekend is starting to go through the internal parts.
Following that will be outside wall color and patturn etc etc.
It is so much fun having a house custom built to suit rather than just buying a ready made one.
You also learn so much about how the house is built as well as all the technical jargon too.
Wait till you get the pack of information once the house is complete. Talk about in depth. Ours is about 10cms with ALL the certificates of jobs done, photos of the building etc....

Charmant Hiuchi for me Saturday and Sunday and will probably do a half day out somewhere along the way on Friday. Forecast keeps shifting around quite a bit so not really sure where we are going to end up.
That looks like a nice resort. Is it easy to get there?
-
Tokabochi, that is awesome.
The stakes have truly been raised.
-
Is there an earlier bus?
-
Ippy, I am going to Ryuoo and Yomase the weekend after, for two days, potentially three.
If you can get a deal, then come on up.
-
Gonna be down in Niseko this weekend. Weather looks a bit sketchy though, high winds on Saturday (seems to be a common theme this winter!). Hoping to hit Chisenupuri before it closes for good at the end of this season.
Really? Why is it closing?

Yay, another Ippy review incoming.

Yeah, that's right Error404. 40,000 for the basic and 60,000yen for the large HDD one.

I thought Burton had a lifetime guarantee on bindings, or is it just on the base plate?
-
And devices, such as cordless phones and microwaves, can also adversely affect the wifi signal too.
-
Definitely something just went off as our school was shaking.
-
Well it depends on many computers or devices you have that you want wired.
Wireless is fine for surfing the web, but I prefer wired for gaming. Moreover, sometimes people move their router boxes around the house, and having more than one socket gives you the choice to move it.

About 7k for one night, with dinner and brekkie and one day pass to sanosaka.
-
From black box? Or shinkansen to Nagano from Tokyo?
-
And if you can get some cheap shink tickets using the おトク deals, then you're laughing.
-
It's not everywhere. There are 9/10 places on there but it's well worth looking into it.
They also have myoko and hakuba on there too.
-
Well, you know of black box by the sounds of it, right? There is an option for takaifujiyomase.
I would have thought you could put those two together.
-
Remember to get as many plug sockets installed as you can. And fit some of them with internet connections as well.
