I did, but she stayed in Kansai to give birth. I'm back for the month and then head back to the US in early Jan. Was hoping to get some runs in, but not likely - Gotta help the poor girl out, baby was up all night screaming past couple of nights. We'll probably come back every year to visit the outlaws, I'll have to bring my board next time and escape under the cover of darkness for a few runs.... -
I figured they probably didn't run it in Boston, i'll probably have to take the train down to Manhattan to take it, i'm sure they'll have it in NYC. My Japanese got rusty over the two months I was away, but it came back quickly - especially staying here with the outlaws...

I think the fact that a leash is connected to the board and has to be connected and disconnected at least raises awareness among newbies that runaway boards can kill. I saw this dude loose a board - it went ripping down the mountain and cut a guy's head clean off his shoulders!

On November 25th, we welcomed BabyJib to the world! She is doing well as is mommy and we just came home from the hospital today. I'll be hanging in Kansai with them thru the end of Dec.

Yea, I was surprised about that - I was the only one in the re-entry line and both J and Foreign lines were blocks long. I may need to keep my alien card for a bit longer just to avoid the queue when visiting!

I won't be able to make it this year, but last year was a great time - TJ busted out the BBQ in classic Aussie fashion! and EBC was....well...we just won't go there....

I wanted to take level 4 this year, but the timing sucked. I hear they run this test in the US as well - I'll have to see if I can get it done there next year - or else it's another Japan newyear holiday....

Skylines hold thier value quite well, but not all cars do. And the parallel import market for Skylines to the US is about to dry up when they launch the GT-R next year. It costs approx 80k to import a JDM Skyline to the US and make it meet regulations to be street legal. the new Skyline GT-R in 2009 will retail for about that amount and the car looks HOT!

I just got a set of Toyo snow tires on 17" Enkei's (I'm too lazy to change the tires - so I just swap out the rims and tires). It was about $1,700 in all. I wanted some cheap rims, but there are no cheap rims that can clear the Brembos on the EVO IX.

I'm back in Japan for Dec. and I was surprised that even re-entry permit holders get printed. Next thing you know Mitsubishi will be making zeros again and the Imperial Army will 'strike back'!

I suppose the positive way to look at it is - let the newbies go to those resorts and leave the shredding to us at the REAL spots.
