Hey there SnowJapan Folks!
My buddies and I are headed to Japan for a month in Feb and have 3 weeks of it to ski. Were looking for advice (and local's favorites if your willing to share ) about where to go.
We are experienced backcountry skiers looking for powder, steeps, and off-piste access. Nightlife, big resorts, and nice hotels are not a priority; Good terrain, deep snow, and onsens are!
So far we are looking at spending a week in Hokkaido (Asahidake seems like a good fit), then a week in Hakkoda. The third week is up in the air and we are wondering if it is worth it to
