  1. No this isn't about a little bit of special time with one's self.

This is about this hyped up super-charged world that are all now living in!

Got a sore throat? Dont put up with that! Get down to the doctors right away and get some pills to sort it out.

Do you have a sudden need to see a monkey riding a unicycle? Get on Youtube.

Suddenly need to know the population of Uruguay? Click click done.

Need to buy a fridge at two o clock in the morning? Jump on Ebay, click click done.....

Unfortunately not everything works this way. The wheels in some industries turn much slower.

Some people's expectations of what can be done in a short space of time are just unrealistic and sometimes just plain ridiculous.

    Anyone else experience this?

  2.

I can not for the life of me remember what it was called?? May be someone here can remember, it was on back in the 80's I think or early 90's.

    A Country Practise???

Does anyone in the UK get Bondi Rescue yet?

It's a show about the Bondi beach surf rescue crew. Bondi, for those that don't know, is a busy Sydney city beach.

It's astounding how many rescues they do. Sometimes 30 a day. Mostly asians and middle eastern people also a lot of backpackers. Some of them would have surely died without help.

There's lots of buffed boys and girls running around in swimwear, lots of city freaks and the odd shark.

I thought it might be a ratings winner in the UK.

  3. It doesn't necessarily mean that we have more Junkies down here than other places. It just means that business owners are doing more to discourage people from shooting up in THEIR toilets.

You would be naive to think that it doesn't go on just because there's no blue light.

    But yes, very sad.

  4. It's representative of your experience, which is probably representative of mine also, but you and I haven't met all 1.2 billion of them so it's not fair to say.

The thing with the little girl goes way beyond manners and decency. It's fundamental compassion and concern for another human in distress , a small defenseless child at that! Neanderthals wouldn't even do this. It's hard to imagine that 18 of the lowest moral decency citizens of China, by coincidence, just happened to be in that one place at the same time.

  5.

The drivere of the vehicle has been arrested. The passersby scumbags have been caught and are being questioned by police. The family are seeking legal action. If there have been no crimes committed by those who walked away, there cetainly will be some made up for them. Happy?

and if it didn't become an international news story it would be back to 'who gives a @#$%'

  6. I can. I've seen it myself.

I once found a guy lying in the middle of the road with bad head injuries. i ran back to a doctors surgery just 200m away to get help and he told me to go away and stop bothering him.

This didn't happen in China but I think it a typical third world trait.

Life is cheap and no one really gives a @#$% about anyone else in these places.

  7. Aussies out! Completely out classed by New Zealand.

Well, I wasn't too far off the money with my initial prediction of an Aussie vs NZ final.

Defeating France will be just a formality for the Kiwis.

On a much more important note. Two hours earlier Australia beat New Zealand 46-6 in the rugby league test. :D
