Thanks a million for the links and knowledge of recent conditions. While we planning on bringing our crampons, this makes it easier in choosing which ones. Finally, with rain in the forecast it should be an interesting trip. Again, Thanks for the help, it looks like a great area.

If anyone as any insight into the current conditions in the Kamakochi-Yari-Hotako area, your help would be greatly appreciated. Skiing is a possiblity, but more than likely just hiking. We are going to be in that area camping for 4 days next week, so again, thanks for any possible assistance.
