  1. Whoa, that is not good.

Maybe Fuji will be next although hopefully not.

Volcanoes exploding all over the world at the moment.

Yeah right! I observed that too! Why is that so? Is there any expalnations on that?

I'd be more interested if you could show any period in the last 100 million or so years when there wasn't a time that volcanoes were erupting all over the world. It's hardly unusual.

  2. For our poker night in Hirafu we used to each put in Y1000 and then play with chips. Whoever came second would get their money back and the winner would take the rest. We sometimes had up near 20 people playing with quite a few of them buying back in multiple times so the jackpot could sometimes be well over Y20,000. In my last couple of years there I'd say I was up at least Y150,000 as I won quite a few times. Ah happy days...

  3. Nah it's coalition politicians. Fvcking up Australia one day at a time.

Here's another one from these idiots

One of Prime Minister Tony Abbott's MPs has lashed green groups, including Greenpeace, as "terrorists" and in a bizarre speech to Parliament has declared radical green groups as the greatest terror threat

People actually vote for these imbeciles. It's so embarrassing to be Australian these days.

  4. I am waking up earlier and earlier and going to bed earlier as well - maybe that is a sign of getting older

I hate going to bed early and hate getting up early. I did many years of that when I was younger, buggered if I'm doing it now I'm older. I'm rarely in bed before 1am and rarely up before 8am.

  5. When I lived in Niseko we used to have a poker night just about every week outside of the busy winter months. Loved it. Here in Aus I meet up with a group of friends now and again for card games, board games or computer gaming. We call it 'nerd night'.

  6. I don't drink at all nowadays. Really just doesn't agree with me anymore. Aches and pains are just normal now but I do work a pretty physical job. Best things about being older is having a business we love instead of working for someone else in job we couldn't give a shite about. Now owning what is pretty much a dream property for us. And of course being able to spend a lot of time with my daughter. A lot more than most fathers seem to get. There's been a lot good things about getter older but yeah physically it isn't great.

  7. Your whole problem snowdude is that you confuse weather with climate. Sure there's always variations around the globe from year to year and place to place and that's why it's important to look at averages globally over the long term. When you do that it's extremely clear the earth is not cooling. As I stated before globally there has not been one month since Feb 1985 that has had a negative anomaly. If we were cooling we'd at least be seeing some months having negative anomalies. We are not. If it was genuinely cooling and heading anything towards temps that we'd consider an 'ice age' just about every month would have negative anomalies. Now if that starts happening then even I'd agree we'd be heading into a cooling period but as it stands there is no evidence for that beyond the pseudo-scientific nonsense from numbnuts like you who have no background in science whatsoever piecing together a few disparate weather events from around the globe and attempting to make this into something it's not. You really should leave science to those who know about it.

The thing is snowdude you are like someone who say gets a diagnosis of cancer and decides to go to see 100 doctors about it. All the doctors give you the same diagnosis but you are in complete denial and decide you know better than all the experts because of something you've read on some internet blog and so you search around for some alternative medical practitioner who gives you a diagnosis that you prefer. If you really did that everyone around you would surely think you're a complete nutter. And you would be. And in the case of climate science you are.

  8. Anyway I have to go out, some of us have a life in the real world.

CNo time to argue this with you anymore today, but I needed to set you right, beforw you brainwash others into believing the same rubbish as you do.

 This from an imbecile who has never studied science a day in his life and certainly has no knowledge at all about climate science. You're a joke snowdude. You really are.

  9. Actually the 50's and 60's were the coldest 2 decades of the 20th century. Shows how much you know about climate....nothing.

I do prefer the way NOAA does it though. They have a rolling decadal mean they compare temps to.

And you forget snowdude that I actually studied climate science for my major at university. I actually have knowledge in this field. I'm actually able to make considered opinions about the information out there. What did you major in? Nothing to do with science I know that much. You are completely ignorant on this subject. Beyond cutting and pasting from the blogs you frequent you know nothing of the science. You're what I refer as an 'internet intellectual'. Someone who thinks reading an internet blog for 5 mins somehow makes them more of an expert than specialists who've spent lifetimes of study and research on a subject. It's pure arrogance and pure stupidity. You're an idiot. You really are.

  10. And of course only an imbecile would believe everything he reads all the time.

Globally you say, so Japan, China, large parts of USA, Canada, 'Most' parts of Europe, which had colder than average temps this summer are not part of earth? They are part of another planet?

    Get real GN!

Try living in the real world and follow blogs from people living around different parts of the world as well as scientific papers and you will see that in fact the world was far from the warmest this summer

Real world snowdude? You mean the blogs of idiots like you who live in a delusional world where the ice is coming? No thanks. I'll stick to real science thanks.

This is the real world in August snowdude and it doesn't seem to be all that cold to me
