  1. StumpTown Coffee, its One of the BEST coffee house in Oregon! They imported the coffee beans from overseas. Expensive, but its the best tasting coffee. It was mentioned in Travel Magazine too last year. But then again, only people in the west coast can experience the refreshing taste of it. \:D

  2. I guess I am the only one that like music in the background while boarding. \:\) Well it depends on what its being play, in America slopes they play Rap & R&B, but not too loud. So its a nice hint of music in the background. If you are not playing attention, you probably wouldn't even notice there is music. So it doesn't bug anyone else that doesn't like Rap or R&B.

Too bad they don't play techno, that'll get the blood going better!

  3. Like others have mentioned, your heel should not pop up too much. Your toes touching is normal, untill you break in your boots. If you tighten all the lace and your heel still can move up freely, then the boots are too big, if you can't return the boots to the stores, then wear an extra pair of socks. That'll help with keeping your heel down more, till you get a new pair of boots.

  4. I highly recommend the Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotel, one of the better hotel I stayed at in Japan. Location is great 3 mins walk to Shibuya station, great view and superb service.

Hilton Shinjuku is also great, IMO not as up to date as the Cerulean. Mainly due to the hotel older then the Cerulean. But the rooms are much bigger. Gold Hilton members get free room upgrade and tons of extra service.

  5. Hi all

I have a question regarding bullet train/subway to Hakuba

From my research it seems that I could get to Hakuba by the following bullet train & subway.

    Shinjuku station to Tokyo Station:

TOkyo station to Nagano via Bullet train.

from Nagano station take the Shinonoi line to Matsumoto. Then change lines to the Oito line which heads north into the Hakuba valley.

Is this correct? I assumed the Hakuba valley is the same drop off point, if I take the bus shuttle from Nagano station to Hakuba? Is that right?

    Thanks for your help

  6. I got a Burton Red Model: Hi-Fi, one of the lightest helmet I ever worn. great fit and extremely light. They come in many different color and fabric wrap options as well. Price at only $100, well thats U.S. price, in Japan probably around $130 or so.

Giro and Salomon helmets are great too, my friend got those brands and they love them. But they aren't as light as my Hi-Fi. These 3 brands I would recommend highly.

buying any helmet from the brands above you can't go wrong!

  8. I brought 5 together with my friends. Cost each of us around $70 each, they retail for $125 each. But they been replaced with newer model by Motorola. Brought them off ebay from a motorola dealer 2 years ago.

I would check on ebay, since they are no longer being produce price for them should drop quite a bit.

As for range they are pretty good, I could talk to my friends around Whistler BC mountain without any problem.

  9. Hey Ricardo

80inches thats a ton of snow! I was in S.Korea two years ago for fun, the subway is so cheap and the food was good.

In mid November to mid December, Mt.hood had superb powder and new snow regularly. But since two weeks ago, a lot of the snow from the storm all melted. Hopefully we'll get more snow soon.

Looking forward to Whistler during New years, hopefully their snow is keep falling.

    Happy Holidays!
