  1. Hey Egglesby

My hometown is Portland, Oregon. The resort I go to the most is Mt.Hood Meadows, since I have a season pass there. We have three different ski resort near Oregon. only around 1.5 hrs drive away. www.skihood.com is Meadow's website FYI.

I go to Whistler every new years for the pass three years. January is great there, but anytime between Dec-Feb is the best time to go for DEEP opowder.. it usually get dump with tons of snow.

  2. Nice, only a matter of time before hackers solve the puzzle. Virtual PC is for running with G4 and G5 chipset. Roger is talking bout the new Intel based powerbooks.. didn't realize they have a contest with prize money for the fastest one who hack into it..

  3. I think it depends, my first snowboard setup was all flagship stuff by Salomon, cause my friend work there. Sold all the gear after one season, then got all Atomic flagship gear, cause my company I worked for gets proform deals, so everything at cost or roughly 50% off retail for new gear. Then this season when all out with Burton gear. I brought all high end gear for my first time/season, cause its cheaper then buying retail crappy stuff. \:\)

  4. well, I have had some bad experience with Burton's high end gear this season. But if I had to do it all over again, would i? I think yes, the vapor is such an amazing responsive board, and combo that up with C60, it is a killer setup. It sucks both broke on me, but maybe I ride them a bit too hard or something. I only worry bout it happening again, after the warranty is over.

  5. Sounds like a lot of us had bad experience with Burton stuff, but then again there are those with great experience. Well, just send the board back to them today, hopefully they'll send me a new board. But if they do, I'll probably just sell it, a bit worry bout it happening again, with the warranty over, then I'll be stuck with the bill.

Anyone interest in the Burton Vapor 157...hehe

  6. Well, this is my first season with all Burton gear, got all their flagship stuff. SL8, C60, Vapor, AK Goretext jacket.

C60, the carbon highback cracked on me twice! Waiting for them to send me a new set still.

Vapor, after maybe 35 times of using it this season. Out of all days, yesterday was a 12 inch powder day, the top layer peel off, which made the board as soft as riding on paper, on a double black diamond hill, send me flying down the hill. Luckily didn't injury myself. This is what u get with the lightest board on the market. Here is some pictures of the damaged:

The worst part bout it, is it happen in 1 hour into the day, so I had to dump the board back to the car, long walk, then go rent a board..

The only thing still in good shape is my jacket and my SL8.

I have to said, I am not longer a Burton supporter, and still got around a month of winter season left, then trip to whistler in April. Burton better send me a board in time and ASAP.

Anyway, I don't recommend buying Burton products anymore!

  7. I am running Burton C60 and K2 cinch binding right now. The burton is the lightest binding I e ver use the board feel and control is more direct. The racket system is super fast and easy to use. My only problem with it is that i crackked the highend once, send it back and they send me a new pair. but I just crack it again, don't know if I am riding it too hard or just bad design. Need to send it back again. Luckily the warranty is for one year, but a bit worry, after the one year is over. So my advice, stay away from the carbon fiber high backs.

I also got a pair of 2006 K2 cinch binding, 10x better then my Flow binding, because the front rise up when you pullthe highback down, so much easier in and out. But downfall is a bit on the heavy side. And the feedback from the binding isn't as good as the C60.

I sold my Flow Pro-FR two months ago, they were too heavy and getting in and out of them was sometimes a problem, if your boot's front is a bit big. The new FLow X6 or something suppose to be much lighter and mbetter feedback when riding. haven't try them yet, but looks promising!

I would pick the K2 Cinch over the Flows, because of the easier in and out function.
