just got back from there a couple of hours ago. it was great, but don't forget your sunscreen. there are a number of ways to get there from New Chitose airport. the simplest at this time of year is probably the Big Runs- White Liner bus. leaves the airport at 9:20, 11:20 and 14:20. get your local travel agent to make a reservation for you or just go to the counter at the airport. it costs 4600 for a round trip. as for nightlife, niseko is deadsville right now, but if you board hard enough you won't want to go out after anyway... make sure you're on the slopes early cause even though

the donek is fantastic! scared the crap out of me at first, it's so fast and once the edge locks in, it doesn't let go. you really have to know what you're doing (ie. i don't)(yet). niseko was a bit crusty on friday, my first day with it, so i hurt my ass a bit... then i got used to it and besides the rest of the weekend was great; fresh snow etc. i can't wait to get out on it again. may go back up to hokkaido for a wknd in april... thanks for the info about the boots. btw did you actually cut that big notch in your boots they were talking about in that forum?

will do. and thanks. i stumbled across this forum cause i was looking for some info on Head Stratos Pro boots. what i've read so far, they sound pretty good. esp the fasteners. my old Raichles are kinda squishy and the buckles are cheezy plastic things, sometimes they fly open when i'm coming down the hill. how are your boots?

hey mrjamie were you up at niseko snapping boards about a month back? cause i met a guy on the lift with your equipment. if so, i bought the donek axis you recommended. gonna try it out this wknd up there again.
