  1. Speaking of this, I'm thinking of working next season in Hokkaido, Niseko, and spending two or three months snowboarding there. I've heard it's quite easy to get a job if you can speak Japanese and English, so hopefully I won't have too hard a time. There are so many lady snowboarders that place is like a dream come true...onsen, great snow, snowboarding every day, and lovely women snowboarders to hang out and flirt with.
  2. Yea, that was me. You had all that old-school equiptment and were thinking of upgrading, right? I'm glad I was able to help I hope you like the Donek -- let me know after you get to use it!
  3. haha well i'm growing mine out so the world is still a balanced place. he stopped by a few weeks ago; I look forward to him being back for good.
  4. Yea, I know Todd. He was here last semester. Cut his hair, though, didn't he
  5. I like 'em a lot, Yamakashi. My japanese has sure gotten a _lot_ better here. Granted, I'm taking private lessons in addition to the regular program, but I think you'd be hard pressed to find someone who studied in the AIJP program and didn't come out a lot better than when they went in. misaki> springtime is fine so long as snow enough is on the ground. I'm actually hoping for warm weather
  6. well weather permitting looks like I'll be heading up there to carve the slush...or whatever it is that covers the mountain this late in march
  7. I'm based in Okazaki, in Aichi. About 30 minutes from Nagoya. I'm riding a Prior 4WD with Catek Olympic Pro bindings and Head Stratus Pro boots. Size 31, mm-mm. Baka...I might take you up on that offer. I was at Ishiuchi Maruyama earlier this season and I had a great time in spite of only exploring half the mountain -- it was snowing so much and so overcast that what I thought was the top was revealed by the end of the day to not be the top at all. D'oh!
  8. I'm riding a carving board and was wondering when and where the best time for warm weather carving would be in Japan? I'm thinking Niigata or Nagano, but I'd rather not be snowboarding in rain... any ideas?
