  1. The things I'm most worried about are:

    - forgetting the correct "course" on the day. For all the faffing about on details we have done, I haven't done many run throughs of it yet, and have only 3 hours lessons left. There's 2 variations and they only tell you which one to do at the time of the test.

    - the fact that they don't give you any kind of warm up on the day. Nothing at all. It seems really crappy for the sake of being crappy that does to me - just give me one run through please.

  2. NOBODY at Heathrow looks fit and well, according to doctors screening for Ebola.

Virologist Mary Fisher said: “Lingering in an international hub of misery causes sweatiness, paranoia and the irrational compulsion to buy a massive Toblerone. So far everyone looks contagious.”

Quarantined Wayne Hayes said: “I felt fine at first, then corralling my screaming kids as my flight departure time receded further into the future kicked off a migraine and body aches.

“I tried to alleviate the boredom by having an all-day mixed grill, which made my stomach malfunction.

“Now they’re not letting me back into the main terminal to buy a Telegraph – just, I must stress, to get the free bottle of water.”

Security chief Nikki Hollis said: “Give it a fortnight for the media to stop caring about this and we’ll be back to treating everyone like drug mules.”

  3. I was about to update it actually.

Finished "Stage 1" which is all the basics over 14 lessons.

I now enter "Stage 2" which looking at the book they gave me just has tons of common sense highway rules kind of content. Quite how that will last 17 lessons not sure.

I am pretty confident now though, so I imagine that after 17 more hours riding I'll be a decent and confident rider.

Must say, I thought it'd be a chore but I'm enjoying it.

  4. For those not wanting to be confused by snowdudes confusion:

Driving schools are not legally able to provide licenses.

    Driving license centers do that.

So if you take lessons and a test at a driving school, when you pass you will need to go to the driving license center to go through the procedure of getting the license.

This is the way it works.

If you don't have lessons and/ or take the test at a license centre, ie not a driving school, the situation may well be different.

But as we are talking about driving schools...

  5. Thanks for the battery info. Sounds good. Ours arrived at the shop early this week, but my missus had second thoughts so we're just getting the 6 now. So back to waiting again. We're getting the fast discount thing though, so downgrading from the 6 plus and the discount mean about 20,000 yens less. So long as we stay with au, the dribble discount on the phone means that its 600 a month for two years for the phone (15,000 total), but 33,000 back for the old one, 10,000 extra in discount, a 3,000 yen coupon for no particular reason and some photo viewer/TV thing thrown in for good measure (nearly 50,000 total plus gizmo). So we're thirty odd thousand up for getting a new phone, albeit we have to stay with au for the dribble discount.

Bloody hell just reading that I'm confused!
