yeah, gotta luv the heated seats.
funny thing is, they're not even japanese. that kind of toliet called a bidet (bi-day) and it's from France. just another invention that the Japanese took, made adjustments, and ran away with it (others being VCRs, and compact cars)

i guess it is U'r both right, toque and oasis, it seems that the Avalung is built into a vest:
has anyone had any experience with these things??? i wonder how useful they would be in a real avalance.
-
thanx 4 the heads up, oasis.
everybody stay safe out there!

re-reading the thread, toque mentioned the cupping-Ur-hands-over-Ur-face technique first.
i often wonder if there could B an oxygen mask or small tank of air could be invented that BC skiers/riders could use. like a camelback people fill with beverages, U know the ones with the hose. only the BC pack would B filled with oxygen. something to give a buried skier an extra X minutes. something to increase that 15-minute threshold, bcoasis. would look kinda funny skiing with a mask cupped over Ur nose and mouth though.

oh yeah, most pay their bills (water, gas, heat, rent, etc.) by writing a check. no service charge.
-
most checking accounts want U 2 have a minimum $200.00 in the account at all times. most savings accounts R lower ($100?).
but it all depends on the state and even the bank branch. my bank in chicago charges me $10/month for every month that my balance is under $200.00.
Wire Tranfers R considered expensive and unecessary ($7.95) per wire transfer. so one does furikomi, everybody writes checks.

i like girls who are athletic, but who can still have fun at clubs, drinking, dancing and i don't mind girls who smoke.
i'm really into girls who don't like games.
being a snowboarder, skier, writer, artist are +'s in my book!

I want to throw beans around for snow outside! no rain! / snow outside! no rain!
Happy Groundhogs Day (in America) everyone! apparently the groundhog saw his own shadow, so
a longer winter of 6 more weeks has been predicted. More snow!

one technique i learned in avi class is that if U get caught in a slide, try as best U can 2 cup Ur hands/forearms around Ur face. this way, when the slide stops and the snow hardens, U've tried 2 form an air bubble, however small it may be. never spoken 2 anyone who's been caught in a serious avalanche, but i'm sure one would have a million thoughts in their head, so it might B hard 2 cover Ur face.

thanx montoya. i'd read the previous threads. reading bout the goods and skiing the goods r different. i wanna board the powder with someone who's been there B4.

dictionary.com says a swearword is an obscene and blasphemous word. so swear words are all different in different cultures. u don't call someone a 'horse-deer' in english b/c it wouldn't mean anything. but call someone baka in japanese and u could have a situation on ur hands.
i swear, but hardly ever around japanese people.
the word histories of swearwords are pretty interesting:

ask someone from england 2 explain a backwards peace sign and where it came from sometime. maybe they know. it's all in the history.

i'm back on the slopes this season after sitting out two due to this complicated fracture of the left scaphoid bone (a small one in your wrists). funny thing was i hadn't been doing anything crazy when i fell, it was a fluke...

1 and 2 I can understand, but if U took 3 or 4, where would U come out? sounds like a hike and a half.
3 seasons ago, i hit that whole area around where U drew in 2..lots of powder, and little hassles from patrol...but a lot can change in 3 seasons.
there R plenty of places to rip!
