  1. If you don't have a car or a ride... Meitetsu has a ski/snowboard bus service (their ticket centre is under the Bus Area in the Melsa Building, by Nagoya Station... PM me if you need details) to various resorts in Gifu leaving from Nagoya Station early in the morning (7am) and usually arriving back in the evening (8pm). Includes bus fare, lift ticket and discount rental tickets for 6000-8000 yen inclusive. My girl and I went to Meiho about 6-7 times last year. Nothing spectacular, just dirt cheap. We also took the train to Nagano a couple of times, which is also reasonab
  2. Checked out a Sports Alpen just west of the Towers today and they don't have any winter sports equipment out yet...
  3. Miltie, I live in Nishi-ku about 5 minutes from Nagoya Station, so it's easy for me to get around town. I'll check out the two Alpen stores that I know of... thanks for the lead on the one in midori-ku. I checked out ASR in Parco the other day... but it doesn't have what I'm looking for. When you purchase online from the U.S., how much do the companies charge for overseas shipping? I was thinking of going online (I buy books and video games from the states) but I'm a bit wary about something as expensive as a snowboard. Are my worries justified? If you could recommend
  4. I tried to search ride japan; they have an office in Tokyo, but that's it... no website, no store locators. Thanks for the sports alpen idea, I'll check it out.
  5. Specifically, I'm looking for Ride snowboards... so I'm trying to find some small snowboard specialty shops that might carry the line. I've been to the big sports authority, himaraya and sports depot stores and they seem to really concentrate on two brands: Burton and Kissmark.
  6. know of any or all decent snowboard/skiing shops in the Aichi area? Thanks!
