I don't think you would need to be suspicious of a great deal of people. Even though the incident was on a grand scale, it is pausible that only a handful of people were "completely" in the know. With such a large operation, a great deal of people could be unwittingly involved. Their part being so small, that even after the fact they would find it impossible to believe that something they did was part of a 9/11 conspiracy.

No I haven't, but the title alone sounds interesting.

Nice video, though I've never been that trusting of pictures and video myself. Particularly the 5 frames released of the 757 crashing into the Pentagon. These really don't show enough to support either the "757 was real" theory, or the "no plane was there" theory. Makes you wonder if the true intent is to distract us from something else by creating huge debates focusing on these two aspects. Why else would these frames have date/time codes of Sept. 12?
  3. Buying the straps seperate could be a good way to go too. I do like mine, I think they are a nice improvement over standard toe straps. However, I probably wouldn't have bought them if I wasn't already in the market for new bindings. If your current bindings are in good shape and you like'em, I wouldn't spend the extra money on the new cap straps just for the sake of having them.

  4. DB this may be of interest to ya. Burton and Technine are now making strap bindings with "capstraps". Now I'll admit, I was very skeptical about the new toe strap at first. I just figured it was a new gimmick to sell more bindings. I actually got a chance to try a set last Spring. They actually work as advertised! The cap strap comes down around the front of the boot, with most of the pressure from the strap being transferred down the sidewalls of your boot. Making for a very comfortable fit (i.e. no more squished toes) and secure by forcing your heels into the heel cup of the binding. Plus, being more towards the front of the boot, you get a little more leverage equaling even better response for your heel edge.

  5. I always thought the resorts made those rules to cover their six. So they couldn't be held liable when a skier/boarder makes a bad judgement call (i.e. overestimate their own talent or underestimate the terrain).

I wonder, if we lived in a world where it was impossible for a skier/boarder to hold a resort liable for something they did to themselves, would the resorts find it necessary to have those rules?

  6. isn't there some concerns when hot waxing with fluorocarbon (sp?) based waxes too? I thought I heard if the fluorocarbon wax becomes too hot, it can create harmful vapors.

Also, I agree with brushing the base after scraping. It clears the wax out of the base's structure (very small grooves in the base that help break the surface tension of the film of water that develops between the board and the snow, reducing friction).
