Not too long ago, I bought Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 for my photos and have been spending the last couple of months learning it and I like it.
Today I found out that version 7 is coming out in a week or twos time. And that if I want to upgrade it will cost about 75% of the cost of buying it new again. Seems Adobe have some 2 month period after announcing a new version where you can get a free upgrade, but I'm just going to miss that.
Perhaps I should have researched more, but I wanted the software then. And even though I'm sure version 7 won't be soo much better, it is still annoying to suddenly be out of date so to speak.
Just wanted to get that off my chest.
Interesting that Adobe have a 2 month period as above, but is that period enough and is it fair?

I quite like some of Metallica, especially when they're not in thrash mode.
I don't like the drummers style though. Often sounds like he's drumming on garbage can lids and he doesn't seem to be able to leave the symbals alone. Ever.

I really like Word actually and the formatting tools in 07 are easy to use and very useful.
It took a while to get used to it but that Ribbon thing is good to use.
Getting worked up over a word processer? It's a bit silly isn't it?

Anyone else noticed that little fake toothy smile McCain puts in at the end of most sentences in his speeches. Funny.

Was on the verge at the end of last season but other things suddenly became more important. Looking for some really decent ones this season.

I put off getting glasses for a while and felt very silly once I got the first pair. Things suddenly became into real focus again, I was quite shocked. I like wearing them. Mine are Police.

Since reading this thread it has kicked me into action.
I went out and bought a 500GB hard disc and am now backing up once a week.
