Is the sumo on in Tokyo at that time Big Al? It moves around the country, I'm not sure of the schedule, but a loooooong time ago when I was first here, my friends visited in September-October time and I took them to the sumo in Tokyo.
Pretty much anywhere within the Yamanote line circle gives you easy/good access to anywhere else in Tokyo. Shinjuku is a good spot because a number of lines intersect there, giving you good travel options as well as loads of restaurants, bars etc

Hoping to hit Fantasy Island towards the end of next week.
My longtime student and mate Ian has got a full-time gig at Kiroro running ski ops amongst other things.
Nerys & I are doing branding and marketing for the resort, so I'll be living and spending most of my time there this winter.
Road tripping to central Hokkaido in December with Nerys to check out Furano, Kamui, Sahoro, Tomamu, Asahidake and Mt Racey.
And down to Hakkoda too hopefully.
Can't wait
woohoo…..any "freebies" for your local, SJ friends?!

Ended up watching one called Mr Brooks last night which has Kevin Costner and Demi Moore in it. Odd movie it was.
