I need to get chains for my subaru legacy- low profile tires. I tried autobacs but I was told we could only get them from Subaru but they cost Y24,000. I know that standard chains are about 1/3 of this price. Does anyone know where I can get chains that would be suitable? Thanx-Karen

I have a standard roof rack and want a ski rack- whatwould you suggest and where should I buy this. Regarding chains, I have low profile tires on our car-do we need specific chains- where is the best place to buy them in Central Tokyo Thanx Karen

I want to take my family of skiiers (beginner to intermediate) to a ski field not so far from central Tokyo and with a little help from skijapan have decided that Gunma sounds feasible. Has anyone stayed at either of these places? How easy is it to access the snow fields from Pension Currants. We only want to stay 1 night and have 2 days on the slopes. If anyone can suggest any better places to go I would love to hear from them.

My kids are on holidays in mid/late March and I would love to take them skiing somewhere in Japan for about 5 days. We need English instructors and don't want to spend a fortune. Will this be possible that time of year. Also- any hints on ski fields that are reasonably close to Tokyo that we can drive to. We like to leave really early on a Saturday morning and are happy to just spend the morning on the slopes so as to avoid the traffic on the way home. Any suggestions welcome
