edit: I just went and looked at them. I'd buy them for sure. I want a mitt... -
Yah that should be good
In the trees you could ski that for a week as long as the temperatures stay cold
-
Dude how on earth do you think resorts all over the world pay for it
Even the small resorts manage a successful program offering open bounderies and safe controlled inbounds terrain that is knarly
It's too bad that Japan is going the way of the litigious North America
-
Yah Sava
Is it dumping?
-
I wear gloves
But I'd like to get some overmitts for extra protection on the real cold days
-
Today rules
-I skied today. Sunny, very cold and untracked wind blown powder if you didn't mind looking
-My new Arcteryx Alpha SV bib pants finally came in today. Even though I am out of pocket I have been waiting for these pants for nearly 6 weeks. They are so nice.
-Got my membership for the local mountaineering club after just sending in the papers 2 days ago
-Some important paperwork that has been nearly 4 years in the making has been finalized
-It's Thursday so The Office is on and I'm going to indulge and watch it with friends
-It's close to the weekend
-The weekend is 3 days for me so if I feel like it I can ski each of the days
Feeling pretty good right now

Getting close
I'm proud of this thread. A lot of hard work went into creating it
-
Hey we are getting near 10,000
Wonder what will happen then?
Should roll over in a day or two
-
Sounds like there were loads of people up last weekend
Just say it already happened
-
But you do talk about porn
Not that there is anything wrong with porn

Hey I heard a noboarder got on the lifts at Whitewater
-
Ian its looking that way eh
1 metre at the base. Crazy how it can turn to winter so quick there
If Whistler gets into a drought are you going to fly over there?
-
Where is that airport that Uma Thurman flew into in Kill Bill? That was right in the city
How close is Haneda?
Or has my joke flopped

Snowstorm, good friends, my fist time fat ski, funfunfun!
Skiing in Hakuba is always fun!
Slow is that you?
I certainly caught flack for that a couple years ago on these forums
You liked the fat skis eh Slow. I bet you were able to cruise through the powder -
Ah
I know the area then. Near the onsen with the shitty water pressure. I hate that place. Nothing like cooking your body in the same water as a bunch of old men or little kids and then not even being able to clean off after
Yari still looks a ways off in that picture. Maybe just because it's a tiny shot
-
Nice dude
Glad to hear it
You do something on the North Side of Norikura?
-
WOW!!!! 137cm at the top. 109cm mid mountain
The PNW and Coastal BC is doing a bit better than Colorado
300cm total snowfall at Breakenridge
850cm total snowfall at WB
Even Hakuba is reporting more snow than that
Winter has hit the North Alps. It might be a shorter than normal winter but I wouldn't sell it out so soon...

deffinetly a big mountain powder ski
When I think of big mountain powder skis the PE doesn't come to mind. Maybe that's just me though...
I don't even think you can put big mountain and powder in the same ski description. A big mountain ski might be the Rossi Squad while a powder ski might be the Volkl Sumo. Both are very different skis meant for different parts of the mountain
I'm sure the PE is a good all mountain ski and with a waste of 85mm you'll be able to ski most dumps without problems as long as you don't get one that is too short.
In Japan I'd definitly want a fat ski to go along with the mid-fat -
Dude when Honshu gets it you will want to be there. Winter will come to the Alps and when it does the powder is going to be deeeeeeeeeeeeeeep

I just read the Hakuba Now report. Its looking good out there now. I don't want to hear any complaints
My Sunday started out logging onto the net this morning to find 8cms of fresh
That turned into thigh deep snow because of high winds and heavy snowfall. Pretty good turns in the trees where it collected but the snow soon turned to freezing rain and coated everything. Early day. Just 4 hours on the hill. But I skied pretty hard. Good end to the weekend
-
Shit
Cool picture. You should send it to Toyota. You got a load more snow than we did
Heard the wind was pretty strong on the coast
-
None
Oh yah it was also a blue bird day
5 days should have Hakuba sitting in a nice place
-
It's the Toque show!
Well we didn't get 20-25cm

Turned out to be 30cm
All of Nelson showed up. 40 minute laps. But I was getting entire fresh lines still after 2pm
Great day. But I'm sore. Have to rest up for tomorrow
