Doesnt it make you a bit nervous to go up solo?
Nothing quite like going out on your own
You'll definitly be more aware of your surroundings
A good feeling of freedom -

Hey Toque, what's all that white stuff in the way of your skis, and covering the trees?
I know Japan is in a bit of a drought but you havn't forgotten already have you
Sorry Diz
That's all I have. Wasn't a spectacular descent. Just low angle heavy snow -
Yah let's see some pictures of whatever you guys got yourselves into
This was my today
Snowed about 1 metre in the last week. I guess it was really dry. But today when I finaly got out there it warmed up and turned it to snot. But still got about 1800 metres vertical over nearly 8 hours
Skied to the summit of the peak in the back with the big wall.
This is what my skis see most of the day
Good day out

I got out of my snowboard gear and into my snowshoes in 8 minutes
Slippery slope to obsession there
Nice Dizzy
Norikura is a fun solo trip
Great that you made it up there. I feel just a tiny bit bad about last June...
Have they started Heli-skiing up there yet?
It's even better if you can get up there early and race the tourists to the top and then stealing their powder
You were able to hike up the steep part in your snowshoes? -
With your new camera you can be the SJ paparazzi then
-
I thought you only liked skaterboys

**** that dude
You'll fly us to Baffin Island where we will kite ski up and down the frozen fjords looking for couloirs to ski
Maybe go out for a month

Hey I've kept quiet all through this EBC
I've made loads of mistakes in the backcountry
Loads upon loads upon loads
Live and learn
Live to ski another day
Of course by creating a trip report on a public forum you are inviting criticism

It was a dam?
And on the map...
I don't know what to say
Shouldn't have brought this back to page one
-
And the waterfall is...

Did you eat a shitty squirrel CB? -
Hey I'm reading Guns, Germs and Steel right now. I'm about 2/3 through. Had to take a break for bit but am back on top of it
Not to keep beating the dog but...
Why exactly did you guys want to ski this line?
Just seems like there are so many other better runs out there
And is the dreaded waterfall on that picture?
-
Heading AK
Must be nice
Where are you basing yourself out of and who are you flying with?
Not that I know anything other than from the videos and spank mags

How comes the Hakuba crew gets all hardcore backcountry/pic happy the year after I leave
WTF!?!
Great shots

You will have adventures wherever you go Fubuki
Mentioned BC before. Is that coming together?
Good luck dude
Those glasses probably came from Murodo station

Hockey Night in Canada theme

Great
You are a more rounded snow slider now
Did your Quebecois friend pick up skiing easily enough?
You were able to swap boots as well?
-
I'm exausted. Skied/climbed nearly 1800 vertical today. Skied into the bottoms of all 4 basins around Ymir Mountain which is above Whitewater ski hill.
Cool burnt out forest though. I've never skied in something like that before. The snow in there was amazing.

You might not be skiing in late June like normal years
But you should be able to ski into early June on some lines in Hakuba. You'll be walking out though. But that just adds to the adventure
Tateyama is so 2 years ago
