we went nuts taking photos at the top that day - every direction you looked in was a postcard image. here's a few more.

with all due respect, i cant say i blame him - telling people about the radio program you do (for a community station) when someone (me) has asked about it is a long way from advertising imho.
& anyway, i dont think he's out to annoy anyone - he's merely expressing bemusment at what appears to be some heavy-handed editing.
data & i are just sharing an interest in dance music here, no-ones trying to promote a product.

bummer - im off to japan on the 3rd, so no dnb for me.
have never hired a board in niseko - i'd imagine that these days it'd be no problem, but i recall a few years ago they used to say that you should take a board because they didnt have any long I (gaijin-sized) powder boards for hire.

you probably wouldve been ok if youd left out "shameless self promotion" & specified that its an independant radio station (& therefore, if its anything like 2ser in sydney or 4zzz in brisbane, you dont get paid for doing the show)
im in sydney, whats the details on your gigs? i will try & check em out.

they send a rep with the regular niseko bus, so there is someone there to meet you.
they are an aussie operation though, so might be tricky to synchronise - they will be meeting plane-loads of aussies, & your flight time may be different.
but really, the first time i went to niseko, i did the whole thing myself, & its really easy to catch the bus yourself. there are staff around the airport who speak english, you just have to ask for some help. your hotel will probably send a van to collect you from the bus station at niseko (which is right at the base of the lifts)

Gyu bar seemed to be the coolest bar in Niseko. The guy who runs it was playing all this whacky lounge music last time i went, but i'd say he's open to anything - maybe talk to him about doing a dnb night? he has decks & a mixer. i think you'd be hard pushed to hire gear there... maybe kutchan? i've also heard kutchan has some good bars.
But, as far as i know, there are still no nightclubs in niseko - just a few bars.

The fare is 12,500Yen per person for one way.
its door to door, so thats not bad i reckon.
we r using it narita > nozawa, & its 9000 yen - which i think is slightly cheaper than the train.

there is someone there who types good english.
they might do shinjuku > nagano too - im not sure.
but... they are pretty slow... they said approx 7 hrs for hakuba > narita, while by train its more like 4.5hrs... so i think we are getting the train.
but they are pretty fast for narita > nozawa - only 45 min slower than the train apparently.

you can most definatley use credit card to buy lift tickets in niseko. & make purchases at the seiko-mart.

that was the most uncomfortable day i've ever had to endure in 13 years of living in syd. it was a dry heat, with a hot wind, like a hair-dryer pointed at your face. it was even too hot on the beach, although the ocean was nice n cool. my baby daughter was really distressed by it, so we sat in a hotel lobby all day & drank beer
(just me that is, not the baby...)hmm, think i'll have to move to tasmania...

you'll enjoy yourself if you go on holiday with a cheery disposition.
you wont get much info here unless people can see you've done your homework. search the forums, do some googling, & then come back with some specific questions.

i tried the driver x boots at the snowboard whorehouse at rockdale, & they are $399 ex tax. (regular retail is $500) have you seen any better prices on them?
i also tried:
K2 T1s - comfy but not really stiff enough.
Vans BFB - very stiff & snug, but pressure ontop of toes.

so how fit is he? he should do some light weight training & cardio before he starts, so his muscles can protect his old bones from injury. broken bones at that age can cause all sorts of problems, & take a very long time to heal.

i'm just assuming its from 1 dump, since its a recent photo. perhaps the yuzawa now person can confirm. it is quite amazing isnt it, the way it has mushroomed. i cant wait to see some of these in real life - only 50 days to go!!
