  1. They actually introduced it into the curriculum last year. A group of five of us have been teaching in 10 elementary schools in Saitama area. Every single class we teach, the Japanese English teachers play usually play no part in it. The planning, curriculum and actual teaching is pretty much in our hands. Some of the teachers try and particpate as much as possible, but the majority tend to do take a backseat and literally sit at the back of the classroom. A lot of it comes down to their actual ability.

  2. I've never suffered from hayfever but know that a ton of people over here get it badly each year. I also heard that people who never had it before can end up getting it. Has anyone had this happen whilst living in Japan? How did you find out? What are the symptoms etc?

  3. Bully was a pretty intense movie. Based on a true story yeah. It was strange to see them all get into the mindset of killing so easily..

Not one I'd like to watch again. Has anyone seen Requiem for a Dream? That is definitely one to see once.. definitely one for the anti-drug campaigners, and another one only to watch once..

I just started using Flow FR 11 Bindings and they are GREAT! I found that initally I was setting them to tight because I had been used to setting my old strap bindings very tight. Great time saver when getting on/off lifts and flat areas.

They are heavier than other bindings, but that's something you get used to. And they are difficult to get on when sitting. I haven't had to get them off/on in powder yet. I imagine once you get used to them they'll be fine everywhere. ALl my friends with strap bindings are saying they are going to change over next season!

  5. I was there on Xmas day. The snow was ok, but the the biggest point was that it was dead. It was a weekday though. I was told that it gets busy at the beginning and end of the season. But as the other resorts open around the area it becomes a lot quieter. The place itself is quite small, although I hear the back country out there is great. Didn't get a chance at the time.
