forgive me if i'm being naive, but is Cadbury's chocolate made in NZ?? Being that the Cadbury egg is such an american fixture around easter, I always thought, growing up, that Cadbury's was for sure an american chocolate company. I recently bought some caramello at an import grocery store here, and the address on the label said Cadbury Inc., NZ. This has turned my world on it's end... say it ain't so!!
kankei nai, but... Dars is my fav among j-choco. Milk chocolatey.... mmmmmm.

Heard about this movie a while ago, and I just discovered the trailer. I'm really looking forward to seeing this:

I've gotten Charlie Sheen, Richard Gere, and Tom Cruise. Those mentioned don't even share the slightest resemblance. I think it's just that all us foreign-folk look alike.

Thats the beauty of a good NY pizza shop. They sell by the slice and there are enough people always buying that the slices are always fresh.

I would like to see a NY-style, mom-and-pop pizzeria where you can buy pizza by the slice. I think that the pizza has come a long way since I first came here (or maybe I'm just finding better places), but a quick, hot slice is still missing. -
I will end chunky peanut butter worldwide!

miteyak - sounds like a whole lot of dubious information if you ask me. They haven't found the WMD arsenal they claimed was there before the war...

what's "the deppa syndrome"??

Typical American hypocrisy.
The american people/govt don't see how building the walls of the castle higher only make them fall harder.

Speaking of "the big one" in Tokyo... I always hear that "most buildings these days are built to withstand major earthquakes." How much of an overestimation do you think that is?

O11 old buddy.... if you have a peek at the buttons above each message, there are two fat quotes at the end "". Give those a click and you're in business.

I'm exciting to learn Japanese, but I'm scary to forget English.

I asked a few of the people there and they said it wasn't your typical japanese wedding party. Either way... it was most certainly surreal.

I've bought and sold a ton of
dirty schoolgirl pantie... Japanese goods, on eBay succesfully....but actually, I've gotten some really good deals buying turntables etc., and sold a bunch of stuff when I moved to Japan through eBay.

I have pretty bad time perception, so I'm a disaster when it comes to being places on time...
Most of my friends and family are aware of this, and cut me loads of slack, but it pisses people off anyway. Shoganai... (damn! I said it)

Well, I didn't actually go to the ceremony, it was kind of like an "after-party" reception kind of thing.

Went to my 1st japanese wedding on sunday. All I can say is.... WTF.
I knew things were going to be interesting when the groom came out sporting a turban, riding a "horse" (two of his buddies wearing skin tight suits, one with a horsehead mask). There were a few strange games, one which entailed the bride and groom picking cell phone numbers of guests out of a hat, and calling the number. The person with the ringing phone had to do an "ippatsu gyagu." (Gag performance) in front of everyone. There was one guy who stripped down to his tighty-whiteys, (which had a big red dot painted on the front of them), then proceeded to stand on his head while his buddies raised his underwear down his legs singing the japanese national anthem.... I think the highlight for me was the group of people dancing while singing the "Yoka chinchin" song each holding a phallus at their crotch (including a couple of girls too).
This is only Japanese wedding I've been to, so I have no frame of reference... but any of you had similar experiences?

I just did a little google searching on the kobe earthquake and dug this site up... totally psyched myself out.
