I remember that thread very well from last year.
I remember that Ocean11 was going on, in a similar manner as he is below, about how "you don't have to wait until Christmas". Even then he didn't seem to accept that some people, however much they said so, JUST DON'T WANT TO SNOWBOARD at a certain time for whatever reason. The point that certain people was being ignored.
Like it is being ignored here also.
The point that Curt was making was surely not that you cannot snowboard or ski earlier than 2 months from now, but the fact that while some places do open early on, the majority of resorts do not open until mid-December.

Oceans 11 are a bunch of criminals too - can't trust them either.....
Seriously, try skis and board both and then decide. It is a good idea. You can buy the equipment very quickly once you decide and not regret it.

I just chill out and enjoy the time to think. Thats if I get legroom.
If I don't get my favorite seat, then its less comfortable.

Get some nice skiing kit and spend some quality time looking forward to it snowing, secure in the knowledge that you're all sorted for when it does.

I think one of my friends in Toyama probably beats many on that one. About 30 minute drive to the nearest small village that has basic shops. Seriously inaka. Beautiful area.
