don`t bother steeevo- you devo. ya can spend tha night @ the airry no probs.
i once had a 7am. flight and there was no way i could make it in time from my pad. and there was no point in stayin @ a hotel, as i`d have to check-out @ 5.
so i made me way to the airport and set-up camp on one of tha `couches`. as everything was shuttin up, a friendly security officer came around and took my details. there were several others in the same `boat`. dont expect any sleep though. most things shut down, but there is just enuff activity to keep ya from gettin some good z`s.

yeah, hope everyone is okay.
that sure was big!!! i usally dont feel `em when i`m outside, but... was actually @ Tokyo Sea Life Park(?) when it happened. we were watchin tha penguins and they were spinnin out. they were swimmin in circles like a whirlpool and then every three minutes or so they`d swim to tha rocks but wouldn`t get out! it was bizzare
. saw `em earlier in tha day and they were just doin their own thing, uno, swimmin around, catchin a few rays... tha girl said that sometimes animals do wierd things before an earthy. sure enough, about 10min. later it happened. couldn`t make last train home cos tha lines were closed, which is why i`m @ cafe now. trukkin spewin abit though. thought i was gonna get to spend tha night in a hotel

that`s interesting, i`ve been to an acupuncturist(sp) a few times in tha last 6 months, and he`s blind too!
i`ve heard it isn`t so rare. apparently, their sense of touch is meant to be awesome

in my opinion, when you appreciate (understand?) jazz, you know what music is all about.
have to agrre with earlier posts re: Miles Davis, John Coltrane. can`t really go wrong using these as a starting point. although my personal faves are Duke Ellington (that`s nice), Art Blakey and Mose Alison.
I `got onto` jazz when i came here 5yrs. ago. so glad i did. goes well with any mood.
Zaoman, get yaself a compilation album and go from there. you`ll soon work out what you like and don`t. stick at it though- it`s worth tha ride.

capitan, don`t worry! i paid my last years one i Feb. this year. At first i didn`t know what is was, because i`d just had a shaken done on my car and i thought i`d covered all bases. then i was inforned that it was an `additional` tax.
i kept puttin it off and off and then finally paid it this feb. yeah, i got a cuppla threatening letters in the meantime but hey...

haven`t decided yet Yamakashi, but we`ve both got almost the entire month off. will probly try to avoid Obon, although there will most likely be a `serious` festival worth checkin` out. will also try and avoid sat. & sun, as i read tha place gets overrun with `tokyoites`.
also, depending on what tha typhoons are doin, we may suddenly decide to go...`tomorrow`.

i`m planning a bit of a surf-trip to Oshima this August, and was just seeing if anyboby`s ventured there? i`ve got some basic info. on tha joint, but apart from that not much else. (lonley planet)
I`ll be goin there with a mate, and we`re takin a car, so getting around won`t b a problem. we`re planning on camping and surfin our `nuts off. about a weeks stay should do tha trick. i`ve heard the waves are pretty good.
can`t afford to do an Indo. trip, so this will have to suffice.
