  1. g`day albino. so ya wanna bring your front foot in a bit to narrow yar stance hey?

it will make a bit of diff. how much depends on a whole lot of things lyk weight, height, style....

but generally, it will be a little less forgiving in the turns bcos you`ll be more upright, not low-down and skanky. so make sure your in control of those edges.

jumping? tha landings might be a bit more sketchy bcos your not as stable. so on landing, make sure ya really bend those knees and absorb tha terrain.

speed? your speed should increase because your weight is no longer as `centered` as it was. i.e., tha more weight ya put toward tha tail of tha board, tha faster you`ll go.

all these things are dependant on the things mentioned earlier of course. but i`m always tellin peeps this: "experiment" you may even find it`s more suited to tha way you`re riding now.

  2. personally, i cant see how anyone can wear sunnies at anytime, let alone at night. tha thought of all that air/wind getting in your eyes and makin `em water is too much for me. BUT,,, i do see people wearing sunnies out on tha hill! maybe it`s just me.

and then, cupple that with some big kick ass flakes and well, you get me drift?

hope that clears that up for ya Q`ey.

  3. Yes indeedy doody, strap, strap, strap all tha way. but you do need to flex a little at the ankles, knees and hips, in order to `absorb the terrain`

yes, we all luv to ride through the pow, but there are times when you don`t have enough speed or you have a stack. i did have a few problems on these occasions with my burton SI`s. overall though, good preformance, BUT,,,

    strap,strao,strap!

  4. hey d.b. i rode those step-ins for a cuppla seasons. they more than sufficed. BUT, in my humble opinion, ya can`t beat conventional strap-ins for overall performance.

if ya do land yarself some step-ins, be sure to get ones with a high back, as they will encourage forward lean, which is very important when starting out.

n.b. d.b. avoid flashy gimicks and tha latest `thing` stick with proven reliability and track record. R&D will beat tha best `TEAM` anyday. ;\)

`Saving time` is one of those gimicks, because you still only ride at a pace which is comfortable for YOU. plus, if ya ride in a crew, you usually have to wait for someone anyway.

  5. freaky gal,,, Ocean11 is right. ya can use burton bindings on any board simply by changing baseplates. tha set-up they`ve got is actually tha best goin around. why doesn`t anyone else employ it??? i hear ya ask. because it`s patented, that`s why.

oh yeah, everything in everything is a scam. it`s just a matter of which `scam` works best for you!!!

d.b. just make sure ya get that `strap in` set up. it`s comfortable and convienient. don`t be sold on `time-saving` or any o` tha other gimmicks they throw at ya. happy hunting!!!

  6. i`m with tha yak on this one. it works both ways. i think i stated in an earlier post that tha day i don one is tha day i whack me head. but i`ve also seen peeps do crazy stuff just cos they`re wearin one.

i can`t help but think about tha comparisons between helmets being compulsory in Oz if ya ride a pushy. before tha law was introduced, a certain helmet manafacturer started mass producing them. insider info. (me thinks)!

    Q. remains to be seen if tha same thing happens in tha snow game. could be some huge dollars made!!!

  7. OH talisker, say it isn`t so. what makes this year any different? are you sure it wont just be tha same as `strawberries` has been tha last 4 years? i.e. everyone knows it`s off limits, but that doesn`t stop hordes of peeps goin in there.

i ruv that area. and i specially ruv tha sign that reads:-

DO NOT OVER THE ROPE OR UNDER THE NET.

IN THE PAST, MANY PEOPLE WERE DEAD.- brooooliyant stuff indeed! \:D

snofreik, it`s about 10 or 12min. and when i say off and on, i dont just mean kinda on, i mean ON as in ready to ride. laces done up, jaket done up, powder-cuff done up, goggs/beanie in place, fingies in gloves propley.... yano?

gettin excited aren`t ya? ya liddle rattla you! :p
