  1. i disagree. its not a matter of being tired of life,,, life is tired of you!

not everyone wants to spend their last days totally incoherent and dependant on others. just tha thought of having to be spoon fed AGAIN, and taken to tha loo...uuugghh \:o

  2. INSURANCE may be another reason. getting a doctor to do tha job would ensure tha family gets tha dough!

DIGNITY my friend is tha key here. starvin yaself of food and drink will do tha job, but where`s tha dignity in that? now, saying your last good-byes and lookin peeps in tha eye before ya slowly drift off into neva neva land, has a fair amount of dignity, wouldn`t you agree??

    just a thought...

  3. i don`t think 6g`s is expensive for a tune and wax. ya board/skis is/r arguably tha most important piece of equipment, so ya wanna have it in as good a condition as possible.

i hang out at me local board store a fair bit and i see tha work that goes into tuning and waxing, and for 6 large you`re gettin you`re monies worth.

i guess it all depends on how serious ya take yar sport/hobby. if yar like most, and ya wanna improve each time ya hit tha slopes, then it`s important to get tha most outa ya gear. most folks pay top dollar for tha goods, and most folks earn pretty good moola, so why not spend the extra and know that you`re gonna do ya best.

    just a thought...

  4. nah, no photos, just memories. full on, like bolts of gold light. similar to something you`d expect to see behind a rocket. too busy enjoying tha pow in tha OONE trees. i dont think photos would do it justice anyway.

and tha guy who alerted us as to what it was, was a pro. rider from oz- shae paxton. he`d seen them on a prior occasion in his travels in N.A. so there`S no doubt about what they were.

i hope youse all get to see em one day \:\)

  5. i`m baised, but i`d have to say niseko hirafu.

a cuppla weeks ago i was fortunate enough to witness a rare phenomenon indeed. we (some members of Team Rapido) were riding tha lift at night when we saw these strange lights all ova tha place. when we got off tha lift, we saw some fellow punters who were also looking on in awe. it was like these bolts of gold light were shooting up from the ground- full on gold they were and sooo beautiful! we thought they were reflecting from a nearby resort, or were promotional lights, uno, like tha ones you see at openings of new businesses.

it was then revealed that they were in fact tha `Northern lights`. first time i` eva seen `em.

    TOTARRRY AWWWSOME!

just thought i`d share that with yas.

  6. managed to make it to tha Toyota big air last sat. nite, and i rekon it wRRRRRokkkd!!! it was tha first one i`ve been to but i`ll deff. be going again.

after talking to some peeps who were there, they said it`s not what riding`s all about and were pretty much over it early.

Sooo, i was just wandering what everyones thoughts were re: taking something away from its natural setting and reproducing it in an unnatural one???

  7. giday everyone.

i experienced it tha very first time i came to j-land, 4 years ago. i can`t remember getting pissed off, but i was certainly frustrated. all we wanted to do was enter a hostess bar and have a few drinks.

i totally understand why they didn`t want us there. it happens tha world over. its not just a case of `everyones money is tha same`. sometimes tha hassle is just NOT worth tha money!

  8. righto then, lets not make it forever, lets say ten years, or five years. or how about even 12 months???

and if it came to chosing between some action in tha sack tomorrow or steep bottomless untracked... give me the action anyday!

freaky, how do you do it??? you are a rare breed indeed. you can get it whenever you want! please teach me your secrets???

lastly, `meat an two veg` man, i wanna be there when you tell your misses to her face that you`d rather a tumble down tha hill, than a roll in tha hey. cya soon

    peace out

  9. i can not believe some of the posts i`ve just read and feel compelled to reply.

people, people people. what is goin on? nothin even comes close to tha `wild thing`. even when its bad, it`s still good! maybe youse are doin it wrong??? i dunno, that could be the only reason you`d prefer tha pow. OR, yas just haven`t done it with tha right person....yet.

don`t get me wrong, i luv tha white stuff just as much as tha next bloke, maybe even more than tha next bloke, (bcos it depends who tha next bloke is), but when ya weigh it up against `gettin jiggy wid it`, nothin competes.

put another way, if ya had to go without pow for tha rest of ya life, or s.e.x., which would it be?

    i rest my case

  10. yo Snobo, that sounds exactly like the injury i sustained in niseko in jan. the aftermath is also the same. the more i think about it, the more i think i hyper extended it too. i did it on jan.2nd, didn`t ride on the third, but rode everyday after til the 12th. riding was restricted and not so comfortable, but i could still get out there. i return to the scene of the accident this sat, about six weeks after initial injury. i went for a light jog/walk last night and pulled up sore after. ice is the key!

so you`re off again this weekend hey? might be too soon, but then only you know your body, listen to it and let that be the key.

an osteopath told me to wrap the knee in a cuppla cabbage leaves. apparently, cabbages contain a certain something that draws toxins out through the pores. thus, reducing the swelling and quickening recovery. i tried it and the next day the leaves were soaking.

whatever ya decide, good luck, and you`re no orphan!
